Grub & Insect Control in Maplewood
White grubs are the damage you don’t see coming. They hatch in summer and feed underground, chewing through grass roots until the turf pulls up like a loose piece of carpet, usually showing as brown patches across the full-sun lawns along the parkway in late summer. By the time the dead spots appear, the roots are already gone, so the fix is prevention. We time a preventive application for the window when eggs are hatching and the young grubs are feeding near the surface where treatment reaches them.
As a licensed applicator we apply at label rates and watch for the other usual suspects too, chinch bugs and sod webworms that thin a lawn from the top down. If grubs already did their damage, the bare ground is ready for aeration and overseeding to bring it back.
This pairs with our lawn disease control. Details on our grub and insect control page, or the Maplewood hub.
