Lawn Care for Farm Country
Fairview is the smallest town we serve and one of the oldest, a farming community about 40 minutes south of Springfield where the houses have stories and the families have often been on the same land for generations. Summit Lawn Care has customers here whose parents first called us back in the 1980s. The drive is longer than most of our routes, and we make it gladly.
Big Lawns, Open Ground
The housing stock around Fairview leans historic: two-story farmhouses with deep porches, in-town homes from the early 1900s, and a modest ring of mid-century construction near the school. The yards have room to match.
- The farmhouse lawns are big and open, mixing full sun across most of the property with deep shade close to the house and the old shade trees. These need a crew sized to the acreage, a higher cut in the heat, and aeration and overseeding to keep a large stand thick where the soil has packed down over the decades.
- The in-town lawns are smaller and more sheltered, and they do well on a steady fertilization program and well-timed weed control to stay green through the season.
- Nearly every property out here has mature trees that drop a heavy load in fall, so leaf removal keeps the lawn from going into winter buried under a wet mat.
Open ground takes the weather head-on, too, with fields all around and nothing to slow the sun or the wind. Full-sun lawns dry out and brown in midsummer, and crabgrass moves into every thin spot. We mow higher in the heat to shade the roots, keep the lawn fed so it stays dense, and time the pre-emergent before the crabgrass germinates so the turf wins the bare ground instead of the weeds.
Scheduled Routes Keep Costs Sensible
Because Fairview sits at the far edge of our service area, we run it on scheduled route days for mowing, feeding, and non-urgent work, which keeps visits affordable and response times predictable. Our lawn care program customers get those visits automatically, with the mowing, treatments, and seasonal cleanup handled on a set schedule. For storm debris after a front comes through, cleanup is still available; the drive just takes us a little longer.
Fairview trusts us for the same reasons our hometown does. We’re licensed and insured, our crews pass background checks, and we stand behind the program and adjust it when a lawn needs something different.
