Fertilization Program in Fairview
A bag of fertilizer dumped on the lawn in May is not a program, and Fairview’s soils make that obvious fast. The newer lots out toward the edge of town sit on compacted clay fill with thin builder topsoil scraped over it, so nutrients run off before the roots ever touch them. The older shaded lawns near the school are competing with maple and oak roots that drink first.
We start with a soil test, because guessing at what the ground needs wastes money and stresses the grass. From there we build a season-long schedule of slow-release nitrogen that feeds steadily instead of forcing a surge of soft growth that mowing has to chase. We are a licensed pesticide applicator and we follow the label rates on every product.
Fed on a Schedule, Adjusted as We Go
Most lawns here run on four to six visits a year, timed to the grass type and the season. We will not promise a guaranteed-green lawn, but we stand behind the program and adjust it when the lawn tells us to.
