Fertilization Program in Lakeside
Lakeside soils are not all the same, and a one-bag-fits-all feeding shows it. The older lots near Crescent Lake sit on years of leaf litter and lean toward acidic, while the tear-down rebuilds along the shore often have thin builder topsoil spread over compacted clay fill. We start with a soil test so we feed what the lawn actually lacks.
What a Program Looks Like
We run timed applications across the season using slow-release nitrogen, which feeds the grass steadily instead of forcing a flush of soft growth that the damp lake air turns into disease. The rate follows the label and the soil test, not a guess. On the shaded slopes under the maples we ease back, because grass starved of sun cannot use a heavy feeding and the surplus just runs off toward the water.
We are a licensed pesticide applicator and we stand behind the program, adjusting it as your lawn responds. Feeding works best alongside weed control, and a compacted lot needs aeration and overseeding first. Full details on the fertilization page and the Lakeside hub.
